Eight 2009 vintage Gimblett Gravel blended red wines were selected to represent the area at a recent blind tasting held in Hong Kong in June. Judged alongside eight 2008 vintage classed growth Bordeaux, the New Zealand wines scored very well with the third overall ranked wine being the Mission Estate Jewelstone Cabernet Merlot. In just over 25 years the Gimblett Gravels wine-growing district has earned a respected name for itself.

Our booth at TRENZ in Queenstown recently was well patronised by the many participants at this year's event which is one of the most important in the New Zealand tourism industry's calendar, and we've had a gratifying amount of follow up from both local and international travel buyers.
For 2011, the Bluewater Hotel Deco Decanted Weekend has moved to amalgamate with the Rugby World Cup events which the Art Deco Trust is holding from mid September to mid October. More information is available on the Art Deco Website.
