One of the most exciting upcoming events is the winter Hawkes Bay Food & Wine Classic held this year from June 20 – 23. Cozy fires, glasses of rich local wine, and warming lamb and venison dishes make this an event not to be missed. Local restaurants will be featured, and the farmers’ markets will be packed with seasonal fruits and vegetables. In recent news, we hear that wine lovers will now be able to access technical help to keep up to date with what’s happening on the vineyard front, including new wine releases and special events by implementing the smartphone applications designed by New Zealand Wineries. Hawke’s Bay is hooked into the system along with several other wine districts, and the site pinpoints wineries in the Bay region with details of cellar doors, restaurants and winery set-ups. |
