Pomerol
Pomerols, very high in Merlot, are often called the Burgundies of Bordeaux because of their rich, supple, more monolithic personalities, but they age extremely well. The Trotanoy has the characteristic abundant black fruits of the appellation and is probably the most profound vintage for the Chateau since 1961. The La Conseillante is the best since the marvellous duo of 1989-1990.

France- Rhône (& Bandol)
Appropriately, now that there is a growing interest in producing Syrah wines in Hawkes Bay, a selection of the French Rhône red style wines is included. We have also included Domaine Tempier wines from the Mediterranean appellation of Bandol where the Mourvèdre grape varietal is dominant and flourishing. Their Rosé is one of the rare Rosés in the world today to actually have a cult following.
